The last decade was marked by a number of significant achievements on the level of the bilateral relations. Vietnam Center Highlights (4 days/3 nights)

Day 01: Hue(L,D) In the early morning we arrive in Hue (by train or airplane), where we check-in in the hotel. Hue, the former capital of Vietnam (1802 -1945 under Nguyen Dynasty), is known as 'the city of peace and poetry'. The city is charming and has a romantic atmosphere. With a small sampan we make a cruise upstream the Perfume River to visit the famous Thien Mu Pagoda and the Ming Mang Emperor Tomb. This emperor is notorious for having more than 146 children. We continue our tour by bringing a visit to the romantic complex of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh Emperor's Tomb. Located in lush vegetation, the tomb combines majesty with oriental charm. Afterwards we visit the Forbidden Citadel, which seems to be untouched despite the turbulent history. We overnight in Hue. Day 02: Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An (B ,L) We leave for Hoi An in the morning by the well-known and stunning Mandarin Road. On the top of the Ocean Cloud Pass, we have a panoramic view over Danang and the surrounding areas. In Danang city we visit the Cham Museum, exposing countless antique articles of the former Cham Kingdom which lasted until the 16th century. Afterwards we climb the Marble Mountains, a set of 5 mountains which represent the 5 factors that constitute our universe. From here, the view upon China Beach is in one word breathtaking. We continue our trip by arriving in Hoian. Also this ancient town was recognized by UNESCO as being World Cultural Heritage in 1999. Hoian used to serve as an active port of trade with the Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese and Chinese people during the 17th and 18th centuries. The streets, houses and architecture are remained 'untouched', despite turbulent history. We also visit the Japanese Covered Bridge and the Tan Ky ancient house before checking-in at the hotel in Hoi An . Day 03: Hoi An - My Son (B ,L) After having a nice breakfast in our hotel we continue our trip towards My Son holly land. Located just 60 km from Danang, My Son includes a complex of impressive temples and sanctuaries of the former capital of the Cham's Kingdom. This area used to be a glorious empire between the 5th and the 13th century. Today, most of the temples are nothing more than a mysterious impression of what the bright period of the Indian culture of the Cham people could have been. In the afternoon we will take the boat to cruise over the Thu Bon River to visit the Ceramic and Carpenter Village. During the cruise you will be overwhelmed by tranquility and authenticity of local life. We spend the night on Hoi An. Nha Trang Sea Festival 2011 to kick off

Morocco marks 50th anniversary of ties

In response to the visit of the speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives to Viet Nam in 2003, the then chairman of the National Assembly of Viet Nam Nguyen Van An paid a visit to Morocco in 2005 during which he inaugurated the Vietnamese Embassy in Rabat. In 2006, Taib Fassi Fihri, Minister of Foreign Affairs, then Minister Delegate for Foreign Affairs, officially opened the Moroccan Embassy in Ha Noi and co-chaired the first session of the political consultations between the ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries. In March 2008, Viet Nam and Morocco held the first session of the Joint Committee in Rabat. The two sides identified a number of areas where the two countries can co-operate such as tourism, agriculture, aquaculture and education. During the visit of Moroccan Prime Minister Abbas El Fassi to Viet Nam in 2008, the two countries reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen friendship and co-operation ties in political, economic and cultural fields. On this occasion, the two sides signed an agreement on avoidance of double taxation. An agreement on the encouragement and protection of investment is ready for signature. In May this year, the second session held in Ha Noi identified many fields where the two countries can co-operate. To enhance trade relations the two parties underlined the need to set up a business council which will help address identified problems. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, Morocco and Viet Nam have decided to organise cultural events in the two countries. cute girl.

Tiger population hits crisis point

HA NOI — Just 30 wild tigers survive today in Viet Nam out of 3,200 across the world, according to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The WWF said there were 100 wild tigers in Viet Nam 10 years ago. The conservation body said the number of tigers across the world had decreased by 97 per cent since 1900. The main reason for the diminishing tiger population was deforestation, said Do Quang Tung, deputy director of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) Viet Nam. The growing human population had also put pressure on tiger numbers, he added, as had illegal hunting and trafficking. Meanwhile, Nick Cox, WWF's manager of protected areas, species and wildlife trade, said Viet Nam was a trade hub for tiger products, while illegal medicines made from tiger bones had become increasingly popular "It's very important at the moment to halt the illegal international tiger trade and domestic consumption of tigers," Cox said. Keshav Varma, programme director of Global Tiger Initiative (GTI), said the continuous demand for tiger parts and the surge in illegal smuggling were totally unacceptable. He said if things continued going as they were, the last remaining tigers in Indo-China would be wiped out within a few years. Hoang Thi Thanh Nhan, deputy head of the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry's Bio-diversification Conservation Department, said Viet Nam, in a bid to save tigers in the wild, had participated in Global Tiger Initiative forums. Viet Nam and 12 other countries had made a historic commitment to eradicating poaching and the illegal trade in wild tigers at the St Petersburg Tiger Summit last November, she said. Tam Giang- Cau Hai lagoon sysytem

Lang Co peninsula

Hue's court music - The World's Intangible Cutural Heritage

Being diversified in spiritual content, Court music was considered a type of communication and means of showing respect towards emperors and gods. In addition, Court music was also a means to deliver philosophical ideas and aspects of the universe of Vietnamese people. In general, the term court music doesn't mean the musical system of the Court only, but also includes actual performances. It was featured with a number of musical instruments and was only shown in special occasions with its own singers and dancers. The drum plays the main role in the orchestra and each member has to pay their highest attention to follow all the stages in a lasting ceremonial. The existence of Court music was strongly threatened with upheavals in the 20th century, especially the collapse of monarchy and the continual wars. Losing the imperial scene, this traditional music lost one of its original functions. Nowadays, with the assistance of the Government and the local community, some old musicians are trying to resurrect this traditional music and deliver their skills to younger generations. Some remained forms of Court music are now the inspiration for Vietnamese temporary music. On 7-11-2003, the General Manager of UNESCO, Mr. Kiochiro Matsuura officially announced at a Ceremony in Paris that Court music of Viet Nam is one of the 28 cultural intangible masterpieces of mankind that were passed down to other generations orally. This was the 1st intangible heritage of Viet Nam to be included in this list. Bach Ma national park (Bach Ma mountain)

The park is about 60km south of Hue city and 1,450m above sea level. Like Sapa and Tam Dao in the north, and Da Lat in the central Highlands, Bach Ma has a cool climate for overheated travelers. Doi Village - new homestay destination in Moc Chau

Photographer focuses on every capital in the world

(CNN) -- Jeroen Swolfs is on a mission to photograph all 194 capitals in the world in five years. The ambitious 36-year-old from Amsterdam has already visited 58 countries in the last two years as part of a project he started called Streets of the World. During the four or five days Swolfs stays in each capital, he scours the city's streets to take one photo that captures the essence of the country. Swolfs discovered his passion for traveling as a freelance photojournalist working for Dutch newspapers and magazines. After a few years, he said he wanted to use his talents to "do something a little bit more radical." He said he's fascinated by the way "life unfolds in places" and came up with the idea to document people, cultures and cities around the world in a way that has never been done. Swolfs spent eight years finding sponsors to fund his adventure before starting his journey in Bangkok, Thailand. Since then, he's written a book called "Streets of the World" -- which is only available in Dutch -- and this month, Swolfs celebrated the second anniversary of his travels. CNN caught up with Swolfs while he was in Mexico City for a few days shooting a documentary and scouting the streets for a photo. Swolfs chatted via Skype while sitting outside his hotel room. The conversation has been edited after losing a few words from the shaky Internet connection and chirping birds in the background. CNN: This journey is about taking meaningful photos. How do you find the picture-perfect spot? Swolfs: When I get to a destination it's all about finding the space, which is kind of difficult. It usually involves two days of walking around the center of the capital. After I've found a place, it usually takes another two days to take a good photo. CNN: What do you do when you're not taking pictures? Swolfs: When I'm in a capital, I will prepare for the next one. I will be going to Guatemala after this so I will start preparing so I know the history of the country as well as its politics and social issues. CNN: Do you only take pictures of streets? It's not always a street. I've taken pictures of people that live on the water or sometimes it's parks or markets. It's called "Streets of the World," but it's basically about street life in the center of the capital. CNN: What are you ultimately trying to achieve? Swolfs: I try to show that there are more similarities between these spaces than we think. People want the same things all over the world. They just want a little bit of a better life for themselves and their children. I see that everywhere. It's also about dreams that can come true, because this was my dream. Even something crazy like this, if you're really motivated, you can make it happen. I don't even know if I'm going to finish it. I might be shot somewhere along the line. I don't know what's going to happen, but the fact that I'm able to do it and I'm living this amazing dream of being able to tell this story is what I think is special about this project. "I try to show that there are more similarities between these spaces than we think." --Jeroen Swolfs CNN: What's your favorite capital you've visited so far? Swolfs: It's complicated because a word like "favorite" or "the nicest" doesn't really apply any more because all those spaces in their own way were amazing. Of course some were more relaxed or beautiful than others, but even the ugly ones that are war torn were also really fascinating because of what happened or how people are trying to survive. So I can't really decide any more as far as a favorite goes because even in the worst countries I've met the most lovely people. CNN: You've visited countries like Iraq and Afghanistan. Have you run into any dangerous situations? Swolfs: I've been to Papua, New Guinea, which nobody really ever goes to because it's really dangerous. I needed five bodyguards to go to the market and take photos. They were armed, and they needed to be because we were being targeted even with those five guys. We had to really hurry and get the hell out of there. CNN: What was one of the most difficult countries to take a photo in? Swolfs: I went to North Korea just before Christmas. I went as a tourist because you can't go as a journalist. You have to sign a paper stating that you're not a journalist, and you haven't been one for the past year, which in my case was not true. So you start as a lie, which in the case of North Korea is not a good idea. The tour groups don't let you out of their sight so it was really hard for me to ditch the group and be by myself even for a few minutes. My tour group had two American skateboarders. One of them was Kenny Reed, who is this really famous American professional skateboarder. They actually came on the bus with skateboards, and they took off all the time because they were making a skateboard movie. So the tour guides had to run after them all the time because they just ran out of the bus with their skateboards. It was perfect for me because when they took off, I walked swiftly through the street by myself. You cannot be alone in Pyongyang, but I had five minutes because of the skateboarders to take a photo of Korea. I think it's one of the best photos in the whole project. CNN: Why was that your favorite photo? Swolfs: It's this surreal image. There's this beautiful traffic policewoman on this massive street where there are absolutely no cars. She doesn't really have a function, but she's just there to be present. Then there's the most robotic people walking around, but there's this little kid that looks up to his father so there's a small human story even in that photo. CNN: What's something you have learned throughout your journey? Swolfs: I've learned that people are a lot nicer than everybody thinks. There's a lot of bad stuff that happens everywhere, but there's also all these cool, nice and lovely people. Those are the kind of people I want to talk about, and I want to show. CNN: You were in Washington, D.C., in the beginning of July. What did you think of the United States? Swolfs: I really had a hard time with the States because your country is such a complicated story. There's all these things I love about it, but there's so many things that I really don't understand. This is what makes "Streets of the World" so hard. It's only one photo per country, so how do I show American life in one photo when I myself am really confused about what I think about America? CNN: What did you take a picture of? Swolfs: I'm actually not really happy with it. I ended up in a park where people were having lunch, and it was this mixed group of people, which I think represents the States. So there were blacks, whites, Asians and Hispanics. But I don't really know if I succeeded in Washington. I think I'm going to try to return, and try again and take more time. CNN: You travel by yourself. Do you ever get lonely or return to Holland? Swolfs: Yeah, it's kind of lonely. I go back to Holland about three times a year. I have a very big family, and everybody gets together once or twice a year. Christmas is one of those times, so I always make an effort to be there. I try to get back every few months since the pace is really high. After 10 countries, I start to go crazy myself. CNN: What's the best food you've had? Swolfs: I spent a lot of time in Bangkok. I really loved the energy and food .. and I don't mean Thai food from a Thai restaurant. I mean the food from the streets. Its really simple, but it's so spicy and flavorous, and it's dirt cheap. It's the whole atmosphere around it. It's like a whole experience just having a bowl of soup. I actually really miss that. Day 01 Hue - Danang - Hoian (B)
Hue was the capital of Vietnam, from 1802 to 1945 under Nguyen Dynasty. This charming and romantic city is known as the city of peace and poetry'. We arrive in Hue (by train or airplane) in the early morning. Go boating on the Perfume River , to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda and the Minh Mang Emperor Tomb. We continue our tour to the Tu Duc Emperor's Tomb. Afterwards we visit the Forbidden Citadel, which seems to be untouched despite the turbulent history. Overnight in Hue
Day 02: Hue - Danang - Hoian (B)
We leave for Hoi An by following the Mandarin Road in the morning and passing the Ocean Cloud Pass where we can glimpse Da Nang's panorama. On arriving in Da nang city we visit the Cham Museum and climb the Marble Mountains to get a panoramic view of the East Beach. In the afternoon we arrive in Hoi An which used to be the trade port of the Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese and Chinese people during the 17th and 18th centuries. Spend time visiting the JapaneseCovered Bridge and the Tam Ky ancient house before checking in the hotel
Day 03 : Hoi An - My Son (B )
After breakfast in our hotel we continue our trip towards My Son holy land. Located just 60km from Da nang, My Son includes a complex of impressive temples and sanctuaries of the former capital of the Cham's Kingdom. This area used to be a glorious empire between the 5th and the 13th century. In the afternoon, boat trip to the Thu Bon River to visit the Ceramic and Carpenter Village. During the cruise you will be overwhelmed by tranquility and authenticity of local life. We spend the night on Hoi An.

Thả rùa xanh quý hiếm về với biển

Con rùa xanh có mai dài 83 cm, rộng 78 cm, nặng trên 80 kg, đã được thả về môi trường tự nhiên hôm nay tại tỉnh Ninh Thuận. Giám đốc Vườn quốc gia Núi Chúa tỉnh Ninh Thuận, ông Huỳnh Việt Kim cho biết vườn đã tiếp nhận một con rùa biển do ngư dân xã Vĩnh Hải, huyện Ninh Hải, giao nộp. Con rùa này bị mắc lưới ngư dân, trên mai bên phải mất một mảnh do chấn thương. Rùa Xanh (Chelonia Mydas) là loài rùa quý, có tên trong Sách đỏ Việt Nam. Ban Quản lý vườn quốc gia Núi Chúa phối hợp với đồn biên phòng sở tại thả con rùa này về lại biển. Nơi thả thuộc phân khu bảo vệ nghiêm ngặt của Vườn có môi trường biển tự nhiên tốt để bảo tồn loài động vật quý. Trước đây, tại Trạm bảo tồn biển Bãi Hòm, xã Vĩnh Hải, Trung tâm Cứu hộ động vật hoang dã Củ Chi (TP HCM) và Tổ chức Bảo vệ động vật hoang dã (WAR) cũng đã thả một con rùa xanh có kích thước ngang 60 cm, dài 70 cm, nặng 39 kg về biển. Đây là con rùa do ông Nguyễn Thế Tâm chủ nhà hàng Nhà Rồng tự nguyện giao nộp.

Cách thành phố Huế 30km, theo đường quốc lộ 1 xuôi về phía Nam. Bước chân vào chùa, khách hành hương như ngẩn ngơ trước vẻ hùng vĩ và trang nghiêm của những chánh điện, tổ đường, trai tăng...những mái chùa cong vút in hình trên nền trời xanh hay những ngọn núi mây trắng vờn quanh. Early birth link to stress disorder

Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a risk factor for premature birth, research suggests. A study of more than 800 women in the US also found a link with having a smaller baby. Babies of women with the anxiety disorder, triggered by a harrowing event, weighed about half a pound less than usual. Researchers at the University of Michigan, US, say PTSD needs to be taken into account in maternity care. Nearly half of the women in the study were African American. Lead researcher Julia Seng, Professor of Nursing at the University of Michigan, said: "An African American infant in Michigan is 70% more likely to be born prematurely than an infant of any other race. "Therefore PTSD, which is treatable and affects African Americans more widely, may be an additional explanation for adverse perinatal outcomes. They included women who had PTSD, women who had suffered a traumatic event but had not developed psychological symptoms, and women with no major life stressors. Babies born to women with PTSD weighed half a pound less than traumatised women who did not develop PTSD, and nearly half a pound less than women who did not suffer a trauma. The link with lower birthweight was most marked in women with PTSD who had also been abused in childhood. Mass rallies for Norway victims

Torchlit processions have been held in towns and cities across Norway to remember the victims of Friday's twin attacks by Anders Behring Breivik. Crown Prince Haakon told 100,000 people gathered in Oslo that "tonight the streets are filled with love". Earlier Mr Breivik appeared in court, accepting responsibility for the attacks but denying terrorism charges. Police have reduced the death toll of the massacre at an island youth camp and bombing in Oslo from 93 to 76. 'Affected us all' Scores of thousands of Norwegians poured on to the streets of the capital in the early evening, many of them raising up flowers in memory of the eight people killed in the Oslo blast and 68 now known to have died on the island of Utoeya. Thousands of candles flickered, many people carried flowers, sang hymns and hugged each other. Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg also addressed crowds in Oslo saying: "By taking part, you are saying a resounding 'yes' to democracy." Col Gaddafi must relinquish power but may not have to leave Libya, Foreign Secretary William Hague has suggested. Mr Hague said Britain's preference was for Col Gaddafi to leave the country. He was speaking in London ahead of bilateral talks with French foreign minister Alain Juppe about how to resolve the situation. Mr Hague said the dictator's fate was "a question for the Libyans," saying it was not for France or the UK to determine the country's future. He said the countries were "absolutely united" in their approach, following claims the French were growing impatient with the lack of military success. The stance marks a shift in Mr Hague's approach. He has previously indicated that he wanted Col Gaddafi to leave Libya. In the last few days Libyan opposition leaders have signalled that they are no longer ruling out the idea that Gaddafi could remain on Libyan soil, so long as he gave up all power and agreed to certain conditions, as part of a political deal to end the war. Whether this shift will be enough to bring about a peace deal is still uncertain. Several parallel mediation efforts are underway, involving UN, African and other envoys, as well as direct talks last week between pro-Gaddafi envoys and US officials. So far any tentative plans appear to have stumbled over the crucial issue of how and when Gaddafi would step aside, and whether he would be allowed sanctuary from the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court. Mr Hague said: "What happens to Gaddafi is ultimately a question for the Libyans." He went on: "What is absolutely clear, as Alain (Juppe) has said, is that whatever happens, Gaddafi must leave power. He must never again be able to threaten the lives of Libyan civilians nor to destabilise Libya once he has left power. "Obviously him leaving Libya itself would be the best way of showing the Libyan people that they no longer have to live in fear of Gaddafi. "But as I have said all along, this is ultimately a question for Libyans to determine." 'Perfect cooperation' Mr Juppe backed the foreign secretary's comments, saying the allies were in "perfect co-operation" in Libya. He added: "We think that we must continue to exert strong pressure on the Libyan regime with the same methods. RAF Tornado and Typhoon aircraft attacked the Central Organisation for Electronic Research building in Tripoli. The MoD insisted that it was a "wholly legitimate" target as it had long been used as a cover for the "nefarious activities" of the Gaddafi regime, despite being described as an engineering academy by the Libyan authorities. Major crossroads to relieve congestion in Đà Nẵng

HA NOI – The Ministry of Transport has approved a VND2,000 billion (US$97 million) project to build crossroads and two flyovers at the gateway to Đà Nẵng central city. The crossroads and flyovers will remove congestion in what is a main transport node in the central region involving National Highway 1A, the north-south railway and main roads of the city. It is an area of high-density traffic which experiences major traffic jams at peak periods, especially when the train is running. The project has been designed with three levels: the lower or ground level includes roads not crossing the railway, the second level is a flyover with four lanes, the third level is a 17m wide flyover, 607m long. Human resources development scheme launched

HA NOI – Viet Nam aims to have nearly 44 million trained labourers by 2020, under the Government's new scheme on human resource development. The scheme, the first of its kind in Viet Nam, is estimated to cost VND2.13 trillion (US$10.4 million), making up 12 per cent of the nation's total social investment. It sets out a roadmap for developing a qualified labour workforce in certain timeframes, aimed at increasing the nation's competitive capacity and helping realise the socio-economic development strategy over the next decade. Under the scheme, the number of trained labourers is planned to reach 30.5 million (55 per cent of the total workforce) by 2015, and 44 million (70 per cent of the workforce) by 2020, up from 40 per cent last year. The plan also identifies human resources demands in terms of quality and quantity for various sectors of the economy, including industry, construction, transport, environment, service, agriculture, forestry and fishing. It also projects specific statistics of labour demands in each economic region, such as the northern midland and mountainous area, the Song Hong (Red River) Delta, the northern and central coastal area, the Central Highlands, and the Mekong River Delta, and so on. Under the scheme, 158 new universities and colleges will be established by 2015. By 2020, there will be 573 universities and colleges in Viet Nam. Amy Winehouse found dead, aged 27

Singer Amy Winehouse, 27, has been found dead at her north London home. A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed that a 27-year-old woman had died in Camden and that the cause of death was as yet unexplained. The Brit and Grammy award-winner had struggled with drink and drug addiction and had recently spent time in rehab. Her record label Universal called her "a gifted musician, artist and performer", adding: "Our prayers go out to Amy's family, friends and fans."
